Lamont leads the Brand Strategy and Planning function for Luminosity Marketing. His primary responsibility is to serve as the firm’s master story teller by leveraging marketing intelligence to solve complex communications challenges for our clients. Armed with data based on marketing research, consumer behavior dynamics and current trends, Lamont is able to draw deep insights for our clients to help them better position their brands and craft salient consumer messaging strategies.
Prior to joining Luminosity, Lamont spent 20 years in client-side consumer and brand marketing roles across multiple industries, including packaged goods, wireless, financial services, hospitality and consumer electronics. Most recently he was Vice President of Marketing at Virgin Mobile USA, where he led a team responsible for advertising and marketing strategy, consumer messaging and program execution. Prior to Virgin Mobile, Lamont worked in brand management and marketing leadership positions for trademarks such as Hewlett-Packard, Coca-Cola, Sprite, Schweppes, Harrah’s Entertainment and Citibank.
Lamont has a B.S. in Marketing from The University of Virginia and an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an avid commentator on contemporary media and popular culture. In his spare time he enjoys reading coming-of-age novels, working on his own first work of fiction and keeping his hip hop music blog, Lamont’s Lists, up to date.
